Posted by Tawikarn Kingthong on 02 February 2021 01:15 pm

Thailand's Ministry of Energy has released an Alternative Energy Development Plan and plans to source 30 per cent of all its power from renewable sources by 2036. Currently, the competition is fierce for the renewable markets with Thai energy companies dominating the market. However, this article highlights a few opportunities aside from companies operating in the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) business, that are typically engaged in consultation, engineering services, equipment manufacturing for solar and wind energy.

Future smart cities in Thailand will also give rise to many localised smart grids that will open up to broader participation or partnership with foreign, smaller companies with smart grid capabilities and software companies with data gathering and advanced analytics.
